Pretty terrible

This was bad, even for a Bastards flash. The sprite work looked awful and the visuals just weren't up to par. I understand this was supposed to be a quickie, but it looked like it was slapped together in one afternoon, just to piss people off.

I'm all for a good heartless parody, but this just felt rushed together and sloppy, which is disappointing as it was probably seen by many people like me who want to see what flash submissions the NG Staff has been working on. If I had to offer suggestions on the flash, I'd have added more backgrounds and possibly made it look a little smoother. Did the Mario sprite really need to be bigger than normal and just float out of the water? It looked silly and juvenile.

So, sorry, I can't suck up to this because it's a staff piece. This wasn't that good and I hope that if a "sequel" of this nature is done in the future, it has a little more effort put into it than this.

Fucking amazing

I know a lot of the laughs I got from this came from O&A's show that you had nothing to do with, but the animation that went along with this was so damn good looking and only seemed to add to the hilarity. This one had me rolling on the floor the first time that I saw it and it really got me interested in listening to more of their show.

So, as a flash cartoon and an advertisement for this show, this was a homerun in my book. It's nice to see that even your early submissions to the portal are classy, Johnny. That's good shit.

Sprite to the max!

This was a fun watch as I'm a big lover of sprite movies. This looked just like the Pitfall games and the retro music fit it well. The twist at the end was surprising and funny and made this pretty damn memorable. Nice job Luis!

This is the future

If flash animations got to be put in museums, this would be among them. This is the most advanced type of clockday spam that I've ever seen and probably one of the most impressive flash submissions ever put on Newgrounds. Words cannot even begin to describe how amazed I am at this. I can't even think about how much time was put into getting it to work.

Bravo dudes. If this is what Mindchamber and Mike were capable of in 2006, I can't even imagine what they'd be able to do in 2011 or 2012. The possibilities are endless!

If this flash has taught me anything...

...it's that you are forty times better as a programmer than a flash artist and that prawns (shrimps in the states) have some of the most epic background music within the natural world.

I'd also like to state for the record that for being liljim's only solo submission, this wasn't that bad. At least it was better than Rob's test flash that didn't even move! So...good job?

This is a bad test flash and it needs improvement!

This test flash isn't very good, Rob. When Bob released his test flash, at least it had a few frames of animation to go along with it and some music. This doesn't have either of those things! All it has is some picture of a stinky bird on a rope, which would be fine in an art gallery, but this is a flash portal man! We have higher standards than this when it's not Clock Day!

So, while this flash isn't the worst I've ever seen, it definitely needs to be improved upon. I'd definitely try to add more frames of animation to it or your future works and music is a must these days! I'd also make sure to let people know it was you who created the flash with some types of credits. And buttons are a nice touch to these things, too!

I'm sure you can be just as good as an animator as Stamper or Luis if you try! This can't be your first and last flash, Rob! I believe in you! Make me proud by making yoru next submission WAYYYYYYY better than this! You can do it!

Hilariously Perfect

A professionally done cartoon that made great use of everything that flash has to offer. Top of the line audio and animation combined with a deep understanding of the Iron Man character and how Marvel v. Capcom 3 works provided for an awesome short. This is easily my favorite of the staff produced shorts. I didn't even care that it cheated a bit with its use of tweens because it was so damn good. You should be proud. If this came on TV as a real commercial on some late night programming block like Adult Swim, I wouldn't be surprised as this is that well done. Bravo sir!

You're one of the best, Johnny, and this flash proves it. 5'd and favorited!

JohnnyUtah responds:

yo dude thanks

Well it's been building up inside of me
For oh I don't know how long
I don't know why
But I keep thinking
Something's bound to go wrong
